The Three Types of MacBook Laptop Computers

Some of the most popular Apple computers are their laptop products. These laptop computers are in the company's MacBook line of computers. These MacBook laptop computers come in three different forms. These are the smaller Air, the standard laptop and the larger Pro computer.

The MacBook is the most popular of the three MacBook laptop computers. This is the model that comes in between the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. This computer was introduced in 2006 as a replacement for the iBook G4 and PowerBook computers. The MacBook features a 13.3 inch LED display screen that offers full screen brightness that makes it easy to see. It also features an aluminum build that is durable and impressive in appearance. This 2.0GHz computer features an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M processor with 256MB DDR3 SDRAM. It is one of the most powerful graphics processors available in laptop computers. It also meets IEEE 802.11n wireless networking standards.

The second of these Apple computers is the MacBook Air. This computer, which also features a 13.3 inch LED screen, is noted for being incredibly thin. It less than an inch tall when closed and weighs only three pounds, thus making it perfect for those on the go. It features a 1.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a 120GB hard drive. The computer's battery is also very powerful in that it can run wireless programs for more than four hours at a time. This computer, like other Apple computers, meets 802.11n wireless standards, which is the newest standard.

The third of these computes available from Apple is the MacBook Pro. This is the more professional laptop among Apple computers. It features a 15 inch screen and a powerful 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor that can be optionally upgraded to 2.8GHz. It also has a large hard drive that can fit up to 250GB of information. It works very well with multimedia products thanks to its NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT processor and its 8x SuperDrive that can both read and write DVDs and CDs. DVI and VGA outputs are also available on this computer. In the later part of 2008 a 17 inch version of this computer is expected to be released with a 320GB hard drive. Even with this power the computer is still light in weight. It weighs about five and a half pounds.

When it comes to laptop computers there are some great Apple computers to check out in these MacBook laptop computers. These range from the standard to the professional to the small and portable. No matter what option is chosen the user will get a quality laptop computer. Be sure to visit an Apple Retail Store or apple.com/mac for additional details on these computers, as there are far too many more features to list here.
