The Apple iMac � One of the World's Top Computers

While Apple has made a variety of different Macintosh computers over the years none are as notable as the iMac. The Apple iMac is a computer that has made a great deal of history in the field of computers and continues to be one of the top computers on the market. Even as it enters into the field of Intel technology the iMac is still a top computer to check out.

The Apple iMac was first introduced in 1998. The iMac was introduced as the first computer that any user can truly enjoy out of the box and that it was incredibly easy to set up. It also introduced the use of USB ports in a computer. This port type has since become the standard on other Macintosh computers and with computers from other companies.

Over the years the iMac has changed but it is still a computer that is easy to set up and enjoy. The iMac has all of its processors and drives inside of its monitor. It also includes USB ports for essential parts of the computer to be linked with the iMac. These parts include the mouse, keyboard and optional printer. It even features an iSight video camera that is built directly into the top of the screen. It is also easy to attach things onto the back of the iMac thanks to its simple and easy to use system.

The iMac comes in both twenty and twenty-four inch screen formats. These LCD screens allow for greater picture resolution. The twenty inch format supports resolution up to 1680x1050 while the twenty-four inch format supports 1920x1200 resolution.

The iMac now features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. This processor can work at speeds of up to 3.06GHz and is the strongest one ever used by iMac computers. It also features standard ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT graphics. There is also an optional NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS graphics card that can be built into the computer too.

The memory used here can be one or two gigabytes in its standard form. It can use up to four gigabytes of memory. A standard hard drive can use up to 320 GB of space but there are also optional drives that can hold up to one terabyte of information.

Wireless Internet connectivity is also available. The iMac uses 802.11n wireless technology. This is the strongest standard available for wireless connectivity.

The SuperDrive used on the iMac is a very popular feature. This works in that can burn CDs and DVDs to back up memory. The iDVD feature of the SuperDrive can take recorded movies from a video disc and burn them onto a DVD that can be viewed on the iMac.

The Apple iMac has been one of the top computers on the market for years and it continues to be a strong product to check out. The iMac contains all sorts of great parts and features. It is also incredibly easy to set up and use.
