The Apple Mac Pro - An Apple Computer for Professionals

The Apple Mac Pro is a workstation desktop computer that is known not only for being a very powerful and valuable computer, but also for being easy to use like other Apple computers. Since the Apple Mac Pro was first released in 2006 it has become a popular computer for those who are interested in more professional computers from the Apple line, and is used as the high-end option of computers from the Apple family. It is compared with other professional computers in that it features many strong components.

The Apple Mac Pro can be customized with ease, and because of its desktop design it can be changed so that different types of special upgrades can be made when needed. These include upgrades to the RAM, graphics card, and other valuable parts of the computer.

The processing that is used in the Mac Pro is especially strong and comparable to other professional computers. It comes in either an 8-core or quad-core format. The 8-core format features two Intel Xeon 5400 processors that can range from 2.8GHz to 3.2GHz. The quad-core format features a 2.8GHZ quad-core Intel Xeon 5400 processor.

All sorts of different PCI Express 2.0 graphics cards can be used on this computer for some of the best visual displays that are available. The slots that are available range from the ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT, which features 256MB of GDDR3 memory, to the 1.5GB NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600.

Four hard drive bays are used in the Mac Pro. This allows for the computer to handle up to four terabytes of data. It also features a 16x SuperDrive that can read and write DVDs at 16x speed and write and read CDs at 32x speed.

Like other Apple computers, the Mac Pro features something that is different from other professional computers. It is easy to set up the components on the computer. The computer features five USB 2.0 ports for peripherals and two additional USB 2.0 ports on the keyboard that comes with the computer. Hooking up other parts is easy to do with its minimal hookup space.
